Premier League preview 10th and 11th February 2013

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that he will ring the changes for Sunday s game against Everton at Old Trafford

Sunday and Monday’s Premier League games could have a big bearing on both ends of the table.

In Sunday’s early kick-off struggling Aston Villa welcome poor travellers West Ham to Villa Park.

In the late kick-off on Sunday Manchester United host Everton at Old Trafford.

On Monday night Liverpool welcome out-of-form West Brom to Anfield on Monday looking to gain ground on the teams above them.

Trouble

Aston Villa are currently in major trouble at the bottom of the Premier League. The Villans find themselves second from bottom in the league, with just QPR below them.

T20 World Cup preview: Can England exorcise ghosts of 2023?

It s fair to say England s last defence of a limited-overs world title did not go to plan.

Eighteen months on from losing their 50-over crown in India, failing to get out of their group as they lost six of nine matches, Jos Buttler s team will hope for far better at the 2024 T20 World Cup.

The champions will face stern competition in the largest-ever edition of the tournament, with 20 teams descending on the West Indies and United States, who get things under way against Canada in Dallas on Saturday.

How will the hosts fare in a tournament many hope will have a lasting impact on stateside cricket? Can India end their 17-year drought in the 20-over format, or will Australia follow in England s footsteps by winning both limited-overs crowns?

Chiefs vs Broncos Week 18 Picks and Predictions: Routine Win for KC Ahead of the Playoffs

The Kansas City Chiefs had their win streak and, in all likelihood, their chance at the one seed and a first round bye ended last week as they fell to the Bengals in a barnburner.

Kansas City will now close out the season in Denver against the eliminated Broncos, with a win all KC needs to secure the second seed (a win and a Texans upset over the Titans would vault it back into first).

Can Denver end a three-game slide and cause a little havoc to its division rival’s playoff standing to close out the year? Keep reading for our free NFL picks and predictions for Chiefs vs. Broncos.

Jaguars vs Jets TNF Prop Bets: Quiet Night for Wilson at MetLife

Both the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets are looking to keep their playoff hopes alive on Thursday night as the two clubs meet at MetLife Stadium in a low-total game that is expected to see some low temperatures and rain.

Trevor Lawrence’s passing total has taken a lot of money on the Under but it’s his legs I’ll be betting on. I also can’t see this being a heavy-volume passing game for Zach Wilson despite the good matchup.

Here are my best NFL player prop picks for Thursday Night Football’s battle between the Jaguars and Jets.

Ravens vs 49ers Odds, Picks, and Predictions for MNF: All Aboard the "Gus Bus"

If each game on the Week 16 odds board was a Christmas present, tonight’s matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers would be the biggest box at the back of the tree that you save for last.

This potential Super Bowl preview closes out the holiday week and its outcome will shake up the NFL odds when the smoke clears. I break down the latest MNF odds and give my best NFL picks for Ravens vs. 49ers on December 25.

Packers vs Eagles Picks & Predictions for Week 1: Philly Offense Soars in Opener

The NFL takes to the field in Sao Paulo, Brazil for a special Friday Night showdown between the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles.

No two teams had more contrasting finishes to 2023 but my Packers vs. Eagles predictions are counting on Philly’s offense to rebound after its late-season faceplant last year.

Read on for my Friday Night Football best bet as I dish out my NFL picks for September 6.

Packers vs Eagles prediction

My best betEagles team total Over 25.5 (-116 at FanDuel)

My analysis

The Philadelphia Eagles’ stumble down the stretch was bad, and almost grotesque enough to forget just how good this team was. Philadelphia is ready to put that wet fart of a finish behind it, especially on offen…

Manchester United players still believe in my methods, insists Ralf Rangnick

Ralf Rangnick is confident Manchester United’s players still believe in his methods after Monday’s dismal 1-0 defeat to Wolves at Old Trafford.

Although the interim manager has only this one loss in his six games, United’s recent performances have been unconvincing, with his wish to implement a high-pressing style not in evidence. Before Aston Villa’s visit on Monday in the FA Cup third round, he was asked whether the players were still buying into his approach.

“They’re at least trying,” he said. “I’m sure they are listening and I think we showed in the last games against [Crystal] Palace, Burnley and in parts…

From Caicedo to Miyazawa: breakout stars of the Women’s World Cup

Ary Borges (Brazil)Borges made an instant impact with three goals on her tournament debut against Panama. She also provided the assist for Bia Zaneratto for Brazil’s fourth. The 23-year-old forward is the youngest Brazilian to record a hat-trick at a World Cup and caught the eye against France as well. She signed for Racing Louisville in December and has settled in after 37 goals in 87 appearances at Palmeiras.

Kerly Théus (Haiti)At only 5ft 4in, Théus is one of the tournament’s shorter goalkeepers but what she lacks in height, she makes up for in ability. The 24-year-old shone for Haiti against England and was unlucky not to come away with the player of the match award. With a strong aerial display, bravery and smart shot stopping, sh…

The Browns' Agonizing Rebuild Included Accidentally Projecting A Bunch Of Porn On The Wall

ESPN’s Seth Wickersham has a new story out detailing the internal dysfunction that has plagued the Cleveland Browns throughout Jimmy Haslam’s ownership of the team. There’s all sorts of good reporting in here that explains what kind of owner Haslam is and how the Browns have been a franchise at war with itself, and there’s also a very funny anecdote about porn. You came here to learn about the porn. From the story: The outside anger was felt inside the building. Marketing executives wanted employees to see how fans were engaging with the Browns on social media, so they projected the Browns feed onto a giant wall at the facility. It was like broadcasting talk radio over the entire building, and one day in particular, it was worse than that. One of the marketing staffers entered …
